Infant Welfare Showcase House - Landscape Design
This is a project that we did for the Infant Welfare Society in Wilmette. The IWS holds a showcase house each year in which designers outfit rooms and garden spaces. Patrons pay a donation to the IWS to view the spaces, while design companies gain valuable exposure. This was our first project together as a company, and it turned out pretty well. Here is our description as printed in the bulletin.
"This classical yet contemporary space is perfect for reading one’s latest novel or browsing the morning headlines. The architecture of the home provides for an intimate setting ideal for a quiet retreat from public spaces. The decorative gravel patio accented with limestone steppers evokes a modern feel with tribute paid to existing architectural elements. Elegant containers and owing beds are planted with the season’s brightest colors, softening the bold edge lines that de ne this unique space. The garden was a collaborative process with Fertile Ltd. designing the garden, creating the containers, and providing plant materials. Medina Lawncare performed the installation, while Lake Street Landscape Supply provided the hardscape material."
